Sepak Takraw Hall4 vs Hall11 (Winner Pool Match)

Hall 4 overcame hot favourites Hall 11 to advance from Group A Inter-Hall Sepak Takraw competition as the top team.

Hall 4 took the match with a score of 2 games to 1.

In the first game, Zhongliang, Yonghwa and David secured the win with a nailbiting finish to the set. It was a close victory of 2 points.

The second game looked tight at first with Praga, Chunxiang and Jevon holding the front. As the game continued, the opponents’ skills and experience wore the trio out as Hall 11 pulled away with a convincing win.

The final and crucial game was an entertaining one, with Weisheng, James and Daniel surprising everyone with their skills and touch of finesse. The supporters also broke out in laughter as Daniel’s reactions were unexpected.

IHG Updates – Sepak Takraw

In some ways, any match between Hall 4 and Hall 1 could be considered a derby match considering our close proximity of our halls. And our highly dedicated players were determined to do our hall proud in the annual inter- hall games 2008 – even having a last training session in the punishing sun prior to the actual match itself. Unlike previous IHGs, there was a surprising good turnout for this group A match. Kudos to Hong Ming for turning up to support the team, even if it meant hobbling across the track to support Team Hall 4. The match was fast and furious, with both sides keen on winning the match. Despite the relatively large winning margin, it was a rather even match with Hall 4 winning the first set 21-8, followed by a nail- biting 23-21 and finally sweeping whatever resistance Hall 1 had to offer in the final set 21-9. Well done Hall 4!
